Extras sought for ‘Gone Girl’ movie filming in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

— The movie company filming “Gone Girl” in Cape Girardeau is looking for extras.

Shooting of the movie starring Ben Affleck will begin soon in the southeast Missouri town. Officials with 20th Century Fox are looking for men and women in their 30s and older.

Those interested should attend one of three casting calls Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Cape Girardeau, or submit information online.

Thursday’s casting call is 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rose Theatre on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. On Friday, it is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at West Park Mall. The call on Saturday is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rose Theatre.

The movie is based on the novel by Kansas City native Gillian Flynn.
