Justin Bieber will walk Floyd Mayweather to the ring in Vegas Saturday when Mayweather fights Canelo Alvarez for the super welterweight title, TMZ reports.
This will be the second time the Biebs has horned in on Money May’s pre-fight action.
The first time, Justin got as much attention as what was going on in the ring. That was in May of last year when Mayweather fought Miguel Cotto.
Justin, rapper 50 Cent – Mayweather’s best friend – and Lil Wayne were all part of the entourage that escorted Mayweather into the ring. Justin carried two of Mayweather’s big ol’ championship belts into the ring, standing with the fighters as they were introduced.
The little guy’s surprise appearance in the ring then nearly blew up Twitter. After the fight, he partied with the winning Mayweather.
That he might pop up again at the MGM Grand Saturday night should be no surprise. Mayweather reportedly flew Justin out to his 13-year-old daughter’s birthday party over the summer.
And in a recent interview with V magazine, Justin revealed his love of boxing and how he sees similarities between himself and Mayweather.
“Yeah, I mean, when I was coming up, trying to get to where I am now, people were so happy (for me). They were rooting for me,” he said.
“Now that I’m on top, everyone wants to bring me down. Everyone’s trying to tug at me and take my spot. And that’s how it always is, everyone wants you to be on top, and as soon as you’re there — like Floyd Mayweather, he’s the best boxer in the world. Now he is a champion.
“Every time he goes to a fight now, people are like, ‘He’s going to lose this time,’ and then he wins ... Every time he wins. And people aren’t ever going to know that he’s a champ.”
Whatever you say, little buddy.
