A third area highway shooting in four days on Monday left a 47-year-old Kansas City man with a gunshot wound to the right hand.

The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating the incident that occurred after 6 p.m. on northbound Interstate 435 at 53rd Street in Clay County. The shot is believed to have come from a white male, possibly bald or balding, who was driving a newer model blue Chevrolet Equinox in an aggressive manner.

The victim was driving a motorcycle. Anyone with information is asked to call the patrol at 816-622-0800.

The other shootings occurred Friday night on Interstate 35 in Miami County and early Sunday on I-435 near Missouri 210 in Kansas City.
