Chiefs’ Reid says Charles has quad bruise

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Monday that running back Jamaal Charles suffered a bruised quadriceps in the team’s 28-2 victory at Jacksonville.

Reid during his weekly news conference that Charles was moving around Monday and was “OK” but would have to be watched before the Chiefs open at home against Dallas on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

“He does have a range of motion,” Reid said, “but we’ll just see how he does here over this week.”
