Kansas City police worked Sunday to sort out the details that led about 25 units to be dispatched to multiple locations.
It looks like quite a mess, a police dispatcher said Sunday.
The investigation began about 11:30 p.m. Saturday when police received a call of a possible shooting in the 600 block of Norton Street, where they found one person with a gunshot wound. Soon after, another gunshot victim was found nearby in the 600 block of Myrtle Street.
A third gunshot victim someone with a possibly life-threatening injury was discovered in a car that had stopped at Ninth and Charlotte streets. Investigators believe the car had sped away from the area of Norton and Myrtle.
Police found a fourth gunshot victim in a car that stopped after an accident at 12th and Oak streets.
Police suspect that all the shootings may be related to a party being held Saturday night on or around Norton. Victims, whose identities were not released, were taken to hospitals.
