It will come as a bittersweet milestone, though. Hubert struggled in the opener, and wasnt the teams leading rusher in this game.
We have to get John going, Snyder said.
• Both of the Wildcats first two games have been played in hot weather. Temperature at kickoff Saturday was 102. Coach Bill Snyder said the heat has worn on his players, but thinks that wouldnt be the case with a stronger mind-set.
• Tramaine Thompson missed a few plays after returning a kickoff for a touchdown and a punt for 79 yards in a short period. He said he lost his breath and felt sick. Trainers examined him, and he returned soon after.
• Tyler Lockett has started the season with back-to-back 100-yard receiving games. The last player to do that was Aubrey Quarles in 2010.
