The stretch of Interstate 35 that was shut down Friday night after a motorist was struck by a bullet re-opened early Saturday morning.
A search of the area in Miami County, just south of the Johnson County line, did not turn up the person responsible for firing the shot.
The driver of a Dodge minivan was heading south on the interstate at Edgerton Road about 8:15 p.m. Friday when they were struck by a bullet fired from an unknown location, according to the Miami County Sheriffs Office.
The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment. An adult and three children who were also in the van were not injured.
Deputies from Miami County and Johnson County are continuing to investigate.
