Arthur Bryant’s is back.

The restaurant on Brooklyn Avenue at 18th Street, visited by presidents and validated by long lines of customers, passed a city health inspection Friday afternoon and reopened.
Arthur Bryant’s Barbeque at 1727 Brooklyn Ave. had closed voluntarily after an Aug. 29 city inspection found a pest control problem. It worked to correct the problem and provided the Health Department a detailed plan.
“They passed inspection. They’re good to go,” Jeff Hershberger, a department spokesman, said Friday.
Hershberger had said previously that the restaurant closed and began working to correct its problems without a city mandate. The city inspected Bryant’s after receiving a tip.
In recent years, Bryant’s has added restaurants in Village West near Kansas Speedway and at the Ameristar Casino. Those locations were not affected by the Brooklyn restaurant’s inspection.
