Chiefs re-sign Bradley McDougald, place Sanders Commings on injured reserve

Former Kansas safety Bradley McDougald is back with the Chiefs.

McDougald, an undrafted rookie who had been released on Sunday, was re-signed on Tuesday, and the club placed defensive back Sanders Commings on injured reserve. Commings suffered a fractured collarbone during the first week of training camp.

McDougald had appeared to have made the 53-man roster last Saturday only to be released after Sunday’s practice when the Chiefs waived six players and added seven new ones. Once he cleared waivers, the Chiefs brought him back to replace Commings, whose season is now over.

The Chiefs also signed guard Rishaw Johnson to the practice squad.
