Now how do these things get started?

British tongues have been wagging in recent days of a rumored romantic reunion between Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew.
But the duchess doth protest.
London’s Daily Mail published a story over the weekend reporting that friends of the divorced royals say it’s only a matter of time before the couple remarries, 17 years after their divorce.
The Mail quoted anonymous friends who insisted that Andrew and his ex-wife have found love again. Said one: “Mark my words, they will remarry. It is only a matter of time.”
But the duchess issued quick denials. Her spokesman told Britain’s The Sun newspaper that she and Andrew maintain a “strong relationship for the kids,” but that they are not romantically involved.
“There's no truth in this story at all,” the spokesman also told Us Weekly magazine. “They are the best of friends.”
The rumor apparently started when Sarah was spotted at the Queen’s Scottish Highlands retreat of Balmoral earlier this month. Andrew and Sarah joined their daughters, the princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, for a weekend there.
Sarah hadn’t been invited back to the castle since 1992 when newspapers published photos of her “financial adviser” John Bryan sucking her toes. She was staying at Balmoral at the time.
She and Andrew divorced in 1996 but have famously remained on good terms, both living at the Royal Lodge and attending functions with their daughters together over the years.
The Daily Mail reports that the queen remains fond of her former daughter-in-law, but that Prince Philip has long been baffled by the Fergie-Andrew relationship.
Guess we are, too.
