Prepare to pig out: This Saturday marks Kansas City’s fifth-annual BaconFest.

On the menu at the epic afternoon pork party: Beer, bacon dishes from local restaurants, live music from The Josh Vowell Band and Big Time Grain Company, and contests for bacon recipes and bacon eating.

You heard that right, a bacon-eating contest. Last year, grand prize winner Randy Satel consumed 1.9 pounds in five minutes. Think you can beat that? Sign up here.

Tickets to the 21-and-over event cost $50 at A ticket gets you food, beverages, a drink cup and a 5th anniversary BaconFest t-shirt. Proceeds benefit The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City.

This year’s list of participating restaurants includes Gram & Dun, Lidia’s Kansas City, Pig & Finch, Simply Breakfast, Snow & Co. and Yaya’s Euro Bistro. Click here for the complete lineup.
