A 32-year-old man needed 15 stitches after getting clubbed in the face with a glass at a Northland tavern early Thursday.
Witnesses told police the attacker bumped into the victim from behind then broke a glass against his face. Witnesses said the victim was “doing nothing” before the 2 a.m. attack inside Arthur’s Lounge at 8158 N.W. Prairie View Road.
The attacker tried to run out the back door, but other patrons detained him for police.
The victim suffered “major lacerations” to his forehead, police said. The 34-year-old attacker suffered a large cut to his hand. He was in jail Thursday afternoon for investigation of first-degree assault.
