— Missouri announced Tuesday that its season opener against Murray State on Aug. 31 will be shown on pay-per-view for those in the state of Missouri and spillover markets.

The game, which starts at 6 p.m. and will be available in high definition, will cost $39.95. The school said in a press release that it will provide a list of participating cable providers early next week. Updates will be posted to MUTigers.com.

The game is being shown on pay-per-view because it was not selected for live television by one of the Southeastern Conference’s television partners. When that happens, an SEC is allowed to offer that game on a statewide basis via pay-per-view. For those outside the state of Missouri and spillover markets, the game will be distributed on ESPN GamePlan.
