High schools in The Kansas City Star’s coverage area for 2013-14 season

The 2013-2014 high school sports season in the Kansas City area inches closer and closer.

Next Monday, high school football teams in Missouri will begin practicing.

On deck: three seasons (fall-winter-spring), 21 sports (nine in fall, five in winter and seven in spring) and plenty of great stories to tell.

With that in mind, here’s a list of the area high schools which are considered to be in The Kansas City Star’s coverage area for the upcoming season.
