Immunization clinic Saturday: Kansas City is hosting a back-to-school immunization clinic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 2400 Troost Ave. It will be open to children in all Missouri school districts.

Parents or guardians need to bring a copy of their child’s shot record. If the child has previously had shots at the Health Department, they can get a copy of the shot record when they register.

“We are offering this special Saturday clinic for those parents who are unable to get away during the week to make sure their child is immunized,” said Jelene Wynn, public health nurse supervisor. “Missouri school districts require that all students have been immunized or have appropriate documentation of why they are not vaccinated.”

Immunizations will be free for children who don’t have insurance coverage for the shots or who are eligible for Medicaid’s Vaccine For Children program. Find more information at www.kcmo.org/health or 816-513-6108.
