Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan, who teamed with Mitt Romney on the 2012 GOP presidential ticket, will campagin in Kansas in September for the Brownback-Colyer ticket.

Hawver’s Capitol Report said Ryan will appear at two fundraisers on Sept. 25 — one in Mission Hills and the other in Wichita.

Kelly Arnold, chair of the Kansas Republican Party, said Ryan’s appearance “indicates that Kansas is leading the way in reforming the budget, cutting taxes, and growing the state economy, as well as making government more effective for the people.”

Ryan is regarded as particularly well schooled on budget matters.

Clay Barker, the Kansas GOP’s executive director, said two fundraisers a week for the new few months are scheduled for Brownback’s re-election campaign, a gauge of just how much enthusiasm is in the air.
