Its The Eater Kansas City Heatmap: Where to Eat Right Now focuses on nine newish restaurants getting serious buzz from Novel on the west side to Red Door Grill and Rye in Leawood to Oddly Correct on Main Street.
A sampling of the post: Momofuku alum Ryan Brazeal has returned to his hometown to open his own restaurant (Novel), while Beard Award-winning chef Debbie Gold has left her post at the iconic American Restaurant to open a casual restaurant with a focus on open-fire grilling (Red Door Grill). Multifunctional spaces are on the rise, like a bar that's also a fish farm (Antons Taproom) and a sandwich shop that lives outside of a restaurant (Pigwich). Also not to miss are sausages at the farmer's market (Derrs Weiner Wagon), travel-worthy pies (Rye), and a coffee shop with a cult following (Oddly Correct).
