On the way to KC: Neutral Milk Hotel

Updated: 2013-08-01T00:57:34Z

The revered indie-rock band has added shows to its reunion tour, and Kansas City is on the list.

Neutral Milk Hotel will perform on Feb. 13 at the Uptown Theater, a Thursday.

Tickets go on sale at noon Friday. Opening bands have not yet been announced. St. Louis has also been added to the tour: NMH will perform at the Pageant on Feb. 5, a Wednesday. Tickets for that show also go on sale at noon Friday.

In April, the band announced the first part of the reunion tour, which includes a show at the Blue Note in Columbia on Oct. 16. Elf Power opens that show. It is sold-out.

The foursome of Jeff Mangum, Sott Spillane, Jeremy Barnes and Julian Kostner has been on hiatus since 1998.

In 2012, Mangum played some solo/acoustic dates across the United States, including a show at Liberty Hall in January.
