Seven years after opening the Cellar Rat Wine Merchants in the Crossroads, partner Ryan Sciara has left the company.

He released this statement: “I am extremely proud of the concept I created from scratch and have enjoyed watching it grow and develop over the past seven years. I have established some amazing relationships with like-minded wine lovers. Together we changed the way people shop for wine in this city.”

He said the brand will continue and the current staff plans to remain at the shop at 1701 Baltimore Ave. He declined to comment further.
