Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen was a no-show Tuesday for Aurelien Collin’s AC78 fashion show.

He was slated to be a model for his MLS All-Star centerback, but Nielsen had a good reason for missing the festivities.

Nielsen tweeted Tuesday night that he had been hospitalized with meningitis. He went on to say that he was back home recovering.

“I’ll be back in business be4 you know it,” Nielsen concluded via @PumaNielsen1.

It’s not his first bout with the potentially dangerous infection. Nielsen was hospitalized in June 2011 with meningitis, but he only missed one game before returning to the lineup.
