Authorities have positively identified the body found in south Liberty on Friday as that of missing jogger Chad Rogers.
The Jackson County Medical Examiners office identified the body, Liberty police announced Tuesday.
The departments investigation has revealed no signs of foul play, according to the announcement. However, the investigation will continue until the cause of death has been determined, and the autopsy is completed.
A construction worker discovered the body about 11 a.m. Friday inside a portable toilet near where the Flintlock Flyover overpass is being built above Interstate 35 in southern Liberty. The site is about 2 miles from where searchers spent days searching through high grass, weeds and woods looking for Rogers.
Memorial services have been scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday.
