Another Blue Springs Wildcat is headed west to Manhattan.
Defensive back Kaleb Prewett announced his commitment to Kansas State on Saturday afternoon, joining Blue Springs teammates Dalvin Warmack and Elijah Lee, who previously had given oral commitments to the Wildcats. All three will be seniors this fall.
Prewett played primarily safety last year for Blue Springs, which won the Missouri Class 6 state championship in November. He had seven tackles, an interception and two pass deflections in Blue Springs’ state-championship victory against Francis Howell.
For the season, Prewett totaled 70 tackles with two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble.
Noted for his combination of speed and size, Prewett is listed at 6 feet 2, 200 pounds.
