The Jayhawks picked up another commitment on Wednesday when Tyler Patrick, a 5-foot-11 receiver from the Woodlands, Texas, made a verbal commitment to KU, according to Rivals.com.
Patrick made an impression on the KU coaching staff this summer, when he ran a 4.4-second 40-yard dash at the Jayhawks’ Friday Night Lights camp in June. A two-star recruit, according to Rivals, Patrick becomes the seventh commitment in KU’s 2014 recruiting class. He also had offers from Air Force, Lamar and Louisiana Monroe, and he was beginning to stir up interest from Cal.
