Free tickets to Macklemore/Lewis show not so easy to obtain

Updated: 2013-07-12T21:59:13Z

One of the most-read stories on KansasCity.com and in print today is about the newly-announced free concert in the Power & Light District downtown by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. It will take place on July 29, as part of the MLS All-Star Game festivities.

The story tells people to visit the MLS website for information on how to get tickets. And it turns out there are many different ways to obtain them, some of which haven’t even been fully announced yet.

It was wrong to call the tickets “free” wrote one reader. “You should have included in your article that there are chances to win,” she says, because there are conditions that not everyone will be able to meet.

It’s a fair point, though the list of ways to get the tickets is so long that I don’t think it’s likely especially the print version would have been able to include them all.
