Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has found another cause — robocalls that target vulnerable consumers.

Fresh off her push to crack down on sexual assault in the military, the Democrat held a hearing Wednesday morning on the issue, which comes on the 10th anniversary of the “do not call” registry.

The senator wants to know how robocalls are harming consumers, what more can be done to stop them and how to protect those who are most vulnerable to scam artists.

McCaskill’s office said the Federal Trade Commission receives more than 200,000 complaints about robocalls every month.
