Monte Harrison, a two-sport athlete from Lee’s Summit West, committed to Nebraska, where he plans to play both football and baseball.
A rising senior, Harrison batted for a .457 average last spring with six home runs and 33 RBIs in only 83 at-bats for the Titans. He is considered a five-tool center fielder and draft prospect next June.
On the football side, Harrison’s stock continues to rise. He was recently moved to a four-star wide receiver in the latest Rivals.com rankings. He is the No. 33 wide receiver in the nation according to the website and the fourth-rated recruit in Missouri.
As a junior last fall, Harrison caught 30 passes for 620 yards, rushed 20 times for 302 yards and scored 14 total touchdowns.
