Explosion reported at Shawnee apartment

No injuries were reported Monday morning after a fire sparked by an explosion broke out inside a Shawnee apartment.

Firefighters were called about 10:30 a.m. on a reported explosion at the Carlyle Apartments near 75th Street and Quivira Road. Firefighters on the scene reported the fire under control about 10 minutes later. There was no immediate information about what caused the explosion.

A fire investigator was called to the scene.
