Munday on Monday: Bathtub fixture

Updated: 2013-06-24T04:18:59Z

Bathtub fixture

Arriving at motel alone

Or as a guest in someone’s home,

Before you bathe,

the problems dawn —

Just how to turn the water on.

The handle near the bathtub spout —

To left or right? Or in or out?

For some have single arm that’s turned

(But guess it wrong, you may get burned)

While fixtures of a different sort

A geodesic ball may sport.

I yearn for days of four-prong grips

Like little helms of sailing ships.

I wonder, given all these quirks,

If this is how dry-cleaning works.
