Domestic violence is a global problem that must be solved

Girls and women face a very violent world at the hands of people who they trusted to love them.

The World Health Organization found that about a third of women have been physically or sexually assaulted by former or current partners, The Associated Press reports. It is the first major global review of violence against women.

The World Health Organization also found that 40 percent of women slain worldwide were killed by their partners. That is a tragedy that has to be corrected.
