Shooting becomes KC’s latest homicide

A shooting in Kansas City on Thursday night became the city’s latest homicide.

Police were called at 7:45 p.m. to the area of East Ninth Street and Monroe Avenue where they found a man with a gunshot wound in front of 3712 E. Ninth. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe the victim knew the person who shot him. They cordoned off an area while conducting a search.
