President Barack Obama is right to act now to try to reduce carbon emissions in the United States.

Obama is preparing regulations to limit the ozone damaging substance. About 40 percent of greenhouse gas comes from power plant emissions, The New York Times reports.
The administration plans to pull down greenhouse gas production through regulations. Neither the House nor the Senate has a stomach for the job.
The Supreme Court in a 2007 ruling gave the Environmental Protection Agency authority to regulate greenhouse gases. The EPA already has set limits for vehicles.
It is a global problem, and the U.S. needs to show leadership now in hopes that the rest of the worlds countries will follow.
