Missouri’s Mike Alden chosen to lead national college athletic directors’ group

Missouri athletic director Mike Alden has been selected as the 2013-14 president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.

In addition to Alden, NACDA executive committee members for 2013-14 include Arizona’s Greg Byrne, Iowa Western’s Brenda Hampton, Maryville’s Marcus Manning, Georgetown’s Lee Reed, and County College of Morris’ Jack Sullivan.

“Mike has been an outstanding leader for Mizzou’s athletic program for many years, and we are very proud to see him contribute his exceptional skills at the national level,” Missouri chancellor Brady Deaton said of Alden’s appointment in a statement.
