All the controversy has finally caught up to President Barack Obama.

The president’s job approval rating dropped to 45 percent, according to a new poll. That’s a dip of eight percentage points over the past month and Obama’s lowest rating in more than a year and a half.

All this comes as the public sifts and sorts through a host of controversies, including the IRS scandal, the surveillance of private records, Benghazi and the Associated Press phone records issue.

One big issue: The poll indicates that for the first time in Obama’s presidency, half of the public says they don't believe he is honest and trustworthy.
