A Kansas City man was killed in a rollover accident early Saturday morning.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department says the accident was reported shortly after midnight on Truman Road east of Interstate 435.

The single-vehicle accident involved a Jeep Cherokee that was westbound on Truman Road. The vehicle went off the north side of the road and rolled over near a rock embankment, Sheriff's Sgt. Ronda Montgomery said. The driver, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was ejected.

The victim was identified as 23-year-old Kyle Mamerow of Kansas City. Cause of the accident is under investigation.
