Would-be robber pistol-whips teen in Kansas City

Updated: 2013-06-13T19:46:57Z

Kansas City police are looking for four men who tried to rob a 17-year-old walking near 45th Street and Jackson Avenue Wednesday night.

The men — two with handguns — accosted the victim about 7 p.m. and told him to “empty your pockets!”

After the teen told them he didn’t have any valuables, one gunman patted him down and checked his pockets. Once the gunman realized the victim didn’t have anything, the gunman hit the teen in the head with the gun, causing a wound that required four stitches to close.
