Got (special) milk?

Hiland Dairy is introducing five varieties of lactose-free milk this month. Grocers will be stocking 2% reduced-fat milk, fat-free milk, fat-free extra milk, vitamin D milk and vanilla almond fat-free milk. All will be available in half-gallon sizes.

“We realize there are people in our market area who are lactose intolerant and cannot digest dairy products, and we had many customer requests for a lactose-free milk,” said Gary Aggus, Hiland Dairy’s president and general manager.

Hiland is based in Springfield, Mo.
