Roberts votes against immigration bill debate

Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas — who, by the way, will face voters next year — continue to be an outlier among his Kansas and Missouri colleagues.

Tuesday, Roberts was the only local vote against proceeding to debate on the controversial Gang of 8 immigration proposal.

Monday, he was the only vote against the farm bill.

Only 15 senators — all Republicans — voted against proceeding to debate. Sixty votes were needed.
