Jones-Sontag has worked with the governor since his election. Earlier, she provided press help for former AH Phill Kline.

Excerpts from the release:

“I am grateful for Sherriene’s hard work and dedication to our administration and the state of Kansas,” Governor Brownback said. “She has been a trusted adviser, and has done a fabulous job leading our administration’s communications team and overseeing the messaging of multiple agencies and commissions.”

Jones-Sontag: “It has been a privilege to work for Gov. Brownback and Lt. Gov. Colyer and the citizens of Kansas in the Governor’s office... I appreciate the confidence the Governor has in me in affording me this new career challenge. I look forward to joining the great staff at the Kansas Lottery.”
