All things considered, former Kansas cornerback Tyler Patmon is moving on up in the Big 12 hierarchy.

Patmon, who left the KU program last December, is transferring to Oklahoma State and will be eligible to play right away after completing his degree at Kansas this spring.

Patmon started all 12 games last season for a Kansas team that finished 1-11 and 0-9 in the Big 12. The secondary was at times overmatched, and Patmon indicated after the season on social media that the transfer was not his choice.

Now he'll join an Oklahoma State program that finished 8-5 last year after winning the Big 12 title in 2011. Patmon, who arrived at Kansas as a redshirt freshman in 2009, also had a career-best 58 tackles and three interceptions last season.
