Carrie Waldo had been scheduled to appear Monday regarding a charge of child endangerment but did not show up.
In her absence, Jackson County Citcuit Court Judge Michael Manners ordered that a warrant be issued for Waldo’s arrest. He also ordered the forfeit of any previous bond and that a new bond be set at $15,000 cash.
It was unclear Monday afternoon how Waldo’s arrest warrant would figure, if at all, in her scheduled court appearance at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Ronda Montgomery, a spokeswoman for the Jackson County sheriff’s office, said no active warrant involving Carrie Waldo had made it to the office warrant division by Monday afternoon. In some cases involving family-support matters, judges have been willing to recall a warrant if an individual shows up at a particular time in person.
Carrie Waldo and her husband, Ryan Waldo, had both been charged with first-degree child endangerment in the incident. Their son was 4 months old at the time.
