Specializing in helping buyers and sellers with their farm, ranch and recreational real estate needs in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri, Land Pros Realty covers “the landscape.”
Land Pros Realty
Associate broker Chris Bober, who has been with the company for the past 31/2 years, has quickly become a valuable asset to the Land Pros team, earning top producer in both Nebraska and Missouri in 2012.
“I believe I am just scratching the surface of my potential in the real estate world,” he said. “I really enjoy the relationships I have made in this business and I look forward to the challenges of being a trusted advisor for my clients.”
An All-American football player at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Bober played eight years in the NFL; four each for the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs.
Since his retirement, he has re-tapped into his upbringing in Omaha, where his passion for the outdoors included hunting and fishing with his dad throughout the Midwest. He retired in 2008, but kept many of his connections in the Kansas City area.
“During my time with the Chiefs, I made many great friendships and lasting connections,” Bober said. “I’m hoping that through my work with Land Pros, I can help people buy and sell their farm, ranch and recreational real estate properties.”
To date the company has achieved more than $200 million in real estate sales volume and was named one of America’s “Top 100 Brokerages” by The Land Report for the past three years. Land Pros is regarded by many as the go-to place for rural real estate needs across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.
Current properties for sale include a 350-acre top-shelf recreational property in Labette County, Kan., highlighted by a 4,900-square-foot, 10-year-old, five-bedroom, five-bathroom brick home and two large outbuildings. In Cass County, Neb., a custom-built retreat with a beautiful 2,590-square-foot home is strategically nestled in the trees on a 135-acre parcel with a 42-foot by 90-foot Morton building.
Affordable irrigated farm ground in Dodge County, Neb., is very difficult to find, especially Platte River, bottom ground. To that end, Land Pros is offering a 186-acre investment property featuring productive, irrigated, river bottom crop ground, plus acres of recreational land. And in Audubon County, Iowa, a former 160-acre family hunting spot has over the years grown into dense timber acreage mixed with pine and hardwood trees, creating a deer and turkey haven for the surrounding wildlife.
The company website has several unique, interactive features, including a search field where prospective buyers can choose from a number of land features including fishing, boating, canoeing, ATVing, commercial zoning, grain and storage bins and other criteria.
Another aspect that distinguishes Land Pros from real estate companies that offer similar services is its exclusive affiliation with Cabela’s Trophy Properties. Many of its brokers are Accredited Land Consultants and have been specially trained by the Realtor’s Land Institute.
Land Pros Realty, formerly Premier Outdoor Properties, has recently expanded its services to include farm and ranch properties.
“We are land professionals,” Bober said. “Some people specialize in recreational properties, or farms, or ranchland. However, it's rare to find a company experienced in all three.”
Bober’s professional knowledge in the field and personal experience as a property owner is an added bonus for his clients, but he is constantly learning.
“The one thing that has made me successful on and off the football field is knowing that I have to get better every day. My goal is to learn something new every day that makes me a better real estate broker.”
