Father of man wanted in Colorado Amber Alert arrested in Missouri

The Missouri Highway Patrol on Sunday arrested the father of a man who is accused of kidnapping his 3-year-old son in Colorado.

Ronald Turner was stopped at 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 49 near Richfield, Mo., and was arrested on charges of accessory to kidnapping,

His son, Monty Ray Turner, is accused of breaking into his estranged wife’s home Saturday in Longmont, Colo., shooting her with a stun gun and kidnapping their son, Luke Turner. Neither Monty Turner nor his son was in the car that was stopped by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Monty Turner is a white, 51-year-old man. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds and has short, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve, dark blue shirt and blue jeans.

Luke Turner is a white 3-year-old boy who is 3 feet tall, weighs 28 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a royal blue “Lightning McQueen” shirt and light blue swim shorts.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued an Amber Alert for the boy.
