Grandview police are asking for help finding a suspect in an abduction that took place late Friday.

A 22-year-old woman was taken from the 6000 block of East 129th Street at about 11:20 p.m., police said. A man put the woman into an older burgundy four-door car with Missouri license number HF0-T4Y.

She was able to jump free as the car was leaving a parking lot, police said, and ran to a nearby residence where she received help.

Police said the suspect is a black male in his early 30s, short and with a thin build. He also is balding with black hair on the sides of his head.

Anyone with information about the suspect or vehicle should call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
