Special to The Star

Welcome warm weather in trendy sandals, heels, sneakers and slip-ons in a rainbow of dazzling color combos. Even men’s shoes are going bright.

“Men are no longer stuck in the black or brown territory,” said Andy Meyer, vice president and general merchandise manager for Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse. “We are thrilled to see the dawn of a new spring that allows men to explore different color options.”

Men will find fun oxfords in preppy blues and greens, along with comfortable loafers and driving moccasins in a variety of hues.

Women generally flock to shoes in vibrant shades to “shed the doldrums of winter,” said Amani Dooley-Wilkes, women’s assistant buyer for Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse. Dooley-Wilkes recommends that bright shoes can help your winter wardrobe “bloom” into a new season and can “add punch to any outfit.” Try sandals in fiery red and creamy coral for an instant update.

Style it: Pairing colorful shoes with a neutral outfit is a good rule of thumb, but the current color block craze allows for a mixing of intense tones from top to bottom.
