A 14-year-old girl was taken to Children's Mercy Hospital after fainting Thursday night at Kauffman Stadium during the Royals' 5-4 loss to the Angels. A member of the K-Crew was the first to treat the girl. No details were available on the girl’s condition late Thursday night.

According to Mike Swanson, Royals vice president of communications and broadcasting, the girl was dancing upstairs during one of the half-inning breaks when she fainted.

The Royals declined to confirm the identity of the K-Crew member, but Swanson said she is a “trained medical person.” KU Medical Center personnel, who staff the Royals games, and paramedics soon arrived and took over treatment before transporting the girl to Children's Mercy.
