Three Kansas City-area high school football players — Gardner Edgerton running back Traevohn Wrench, Olathe South offensive lineman Braden Smith and Wyandotte quarterback Dimonic McKinzy — have been nominated to play in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
All three players will be seniors in the fall. Smith is the No. 22-rated prospect in the country and the No. 2-rated offensive tackle in the Class of 2014 by Rivals.com. Wrench has committed to play at Kansas and McKinzy has committed to play at Minnesota.
