The Commerce Bank on the Country Club Plaza was robbed Saturday afternoon, and a man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said a man entered the bank, 118 W. 47th St., at 1:45 p.m. and demanded cash. He motioned toward a fanny-style pack around his waist and indicated he had an explosive device. He fled the bank on foot northbound on Wyandotte Street and did not leave any suspicious pack in or around the bank.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 5 feet 9 and 200 pounds and about 50 years old. He was wearing a blue oxford button-down shirt, dark pants, a snap-button dark leather hat and large framed sunglasses covering much of his face.

There were no injuries, and the FBI is investigating.
