Enactus, the new name for SIFE, returns to Kansas City next week

Updated: 2013-05-17T04:34:11Z

The 2013 Enactus United States National Exposition will be held May 21-23 at the Kansas City Convention Center.

Enactus is the new name for SIFE, formerly Students in Free Enterprise, a college-level extracurricular program that teaches entrepreneurship and social service outreach through more than 500 Enactus clubs nationally.

Student teams that have won in regional competitions will present their projects at the convention, and a national winner will be chosen to represent the United States in international competition.

This year’s exposition will include a forum on “Shifting Trends in the Global Future,” with a business panel and student interaction.

Companies with prominent sponsorship roles are Hershey, Bic, Bimbo Bakeries, Mom Brands and Schwan Food.
