The Kansas City Health Department has temporarily closed Wendy’s at 3803 Truman Road.

It had seven critical violations during a routine inspection Wednesday afternoon. A walk-in cooler was not working, and multiple food items also were held at improper temperatures on sandwich make table. The restaurant also was cited for improper hand washing procedures.

The Wendy’s may not prepare, serve or sell food until the cooler is repaired, all critical violations are corrected, it has submitted a corrective action plan on how it will prevent the situation from re-occurring, and then pass a re-inspection by the health department.

A manager had no comment.
