Airport committee has familiar, unfamiliar names

There are several familiar names on mayor Sly James’ new KCI committee, and a few new ones.

Co-chairs are Bob Berkebile, the architect, and Dave Fowler, a retired accountant.

But it includes former councilman and KCI stalwart Bill Skaggs, who once wanted to explore sale of the airport. John Fierro, a former head of the Parks Board, is also on the panel.

Joe Reardon, former KCK mayor, is a member (and, it should be noted, not a Kansas City, Mo. resident.) John McDonald of Boulevard Brewing is on the committee.

And so is Kevin Koster, who founded
